Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reports in Charleston about the police's leniency when it comes to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. It led to state authorities issuing more strict rules in these instances. Ms. O'Dell was honored by her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor and investigative reporter at NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. Alongside her work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and as well to Dateline NBC. She has co-hosted a variety of pre-shows and arrivals shows to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. She also hosts the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
